The Volkswagen Taigun Anniversary Edition is limited and available in three colour options, Rising Blue (*new).


Celebrating the completion of one year of Volkswagen Taigun in the Indian market, the brand has rolled out a new Volkswagen Taigun 1st anniversary edition in a new Rising Blue colour scheme and on Dynamic Line and Topline trim. This anniversary edition will go on sale on the official website and the stores across the country.
Along with the new Rising Blue, the anniversary edition will also be available in the outgoing Wild Cherry and Curcuma Yellow shades.
In the compact SUV segment Taigun is getting ample sales numbers but its elder sibling Volkswagen Tiguan is still struggling to generate sales.
Changes in the Volkswagen Tagiun Anniversary Edition
Apart from the new paint scheme, the enhancement list starts with the 1st-anniversary edition badge, door protection, C pillar blacked out insert, black painted roof, Black ORVMs, high lux fog lamps, body-colored door trim, window visor, and aluminum pedals.
There will be no changes in the engine and transmission, it still is offered with 1.0L 3-Cylinder turbocharged petrol and 1.5L, turbocharged petrol motor and the power figures are 115 bhp, 175 Nm of peak torque and 148 bhp, 250 Nm of peak torque. While the transmission duties are taken care of by the 6-speed manual/6-speed automatic gearbox. Whereas the powerful 1.5L is mated to a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. With the 1st year anniversary edition, only a 1.0l engine is offered with an MT/AT transmission.




Except for these changes, the anniversary edition gets similar features to the regular Topline trim, leatherette upholstery, automatic climate control, push start/stop button, keyless go, a touchscreen infotainment display, auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, electric sunroof, ambient lighting, rear seat armrest, 17-inch alloy wheels, paddle shifters, wireless mobile charging, 6-speaker system and so on.

The Volkswagen Taigun powers all the safety features such as 6-airbags, multi-collision braking, hill hold control, park distance control, rearview camera, traction control, and electronic stability control.
