India is a big market place for SUV car manufacturers. This segment got a huge bounce after the launch of Mahindra Scorpio and Toyota Fortuner. Especially the youth looks for an SUV, which suits their personality and they always wait for the upcoming 7 seater cars in India.
Usually, we call a seven-seater car an SUV by considering its size and weight. But nowadays we found some more. There is some cross over SUV introduced by brands like Create, Breeza, and Ecosport and some big bulky 5 seaters also been found like Jeep Compas, Tata Harrier, and Kia Seltos.
But, If we talk about the seven-seater segment. We discover the big bulky and massive SUVs like Fortuner, Endeavour, Altrus G-4, Scorpio and XUV 500. Many car manufactures are planning to introduce their new cars in the Indian market. Some carmakers have already launched theirs a back couple of weeks ago.

Lets start our Upcoming 7 seater cars in India list by starting with the Tata Gravitas.
1. Tata Gravitas


Tata Motors is planning to launch the seven-seater SUV in the Indian market after the success of Harrier. First-ever, the Gravitas is showcased in Delhi Auto expo 2020. Tata is planning to launch this by mid of 2021 and The Gravitas comes with the same 2.0 ltr diesel engine that Harrier has, but the engine will be tuned as per the requirement and it produces more power than the Harrier. Gravitas competes with Jeep Compas 7 seater and Hyundai Creta 7 seater. The Tata Gravitas shall come with a price tag of 18-24 lakhs (ex-showroom).
2. Volkswagen Tiguan


Volkswagen plans to launch the 7 seater variant of the Tiguan. This Tiguan Allspace comes to a extra row of seats and a longer wheelbase from its predecessor. The dimensions of Tiguan measures around 4701 mm in length, 1839 mm in width and 1674 mm height with a wheelbase of 2887 mm. Tiguan shall be equipped with the same 2.0 ltr TSI BS6 compliant engine with AWD(All Wheel Drive) system. The Volkswagen Tiguan Shall cost around 30-35 lakhs (ex-showroom).
3. MG Maxus D90


Morris Garages a US-based brand recognized in Indian after the launch of Hector in the Indian market. Hector got thousands of bookings in its first month of launch and delivers a massive amount of numbers on the occasion of Diwali in 2019. Now MG is planning to launch its new full-sized SUV in India named Maxus D90. This could come with a 2.0 ltr turbocharged petrol engine and 2.0 ltr diesel engine. The petrol one generates 224 bhp and 218 bhp in diesel. This comes with a price tag of Approx 32-36 lakhs (ex-showroom).
4. Toyota Ertiga


Last year, Toyota launched the rebadged version of Maruti Suzuki Baleno with no changes except the logo. Now Toyota is planning to launch the Ertiga with Toyota Badge having the same engine specs and performance but the grille and other cosmetic changes do happen when it launch. This Could launch in the earlier 2021 with a price tag of 6-5-9.5 lakhs (ex-showroom).
5. Mahindra XUV 500


Mahindra & Mahindra plans to launch the newer version of XUV 500 in Indian with an upgraded design and engine. This could come with a 2.2 ltr 4-cylinder diesel engine, which produces around 180 bhp. The XUV always comes the third row of seats but it never fits for adult occupants but in the new version if could get some more space and comfort for the last row fo seats to make it more comfortable. The expected launch date of XUV 500 is mid-2021 and comes with an expected price tag of 17-21 lakhs (ex-showroom).
6. Datsun Cross


Datsun is a budget car manufacturer in India. The RediGo is the entry-level car of its line up which costs around 4 lakh on road. Now Datsun is focusing to offers a seven-seater car in budget price which full fills the demand of middle-class peoples. The new Datsun Cross is going to offer a seven-seater cabin with all basic features Infotainment system, electric power windows, ABS(Anti-lock Braking System), EBD(Electronic Brake Distribution) and dual front airbag. This car comes with an expected price tag of 6-8 lakhs (ex-showroom).
