The upcoming premium SUV MG Gloster Engine specs are now revealing, Recently MG officially showcased the automatic car parking assist which we discussed in one of our previous articles. The Gloster will be the third and major launch in the Indian market by following MG Hector and MG Hector Plus 6 Seater. The SUV will be based on a ladder-on-frame platform with some advanced offroad techs.
The MG Gloster will be powered by the 2.0-liter, twin-turbo Diesel engine that we can see in the Maxus D90. This motor produces around 218 bhp of maximum power and 480 Nm of peak torque mated to an 8-Speed automatic transmission. The engine specs are quite higher in comparison to other rivals like Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavor, and Mahindra Alturas.
Apart from the diesel engine, MG Gloster also has a petrol engine in the global market but MG’s don’t have any plans to introduce that in India. However, the reason for that maybe all the cars of this segment are mainly offered or popular in diesel motors only. The engine which is going to offer in MG Gloster is the most powerful in the segment with an 8-Speed gearbox.
The feature list is also impressive as the engine, it has 12.3 inches touchscreen infotainment system with apple car play, android auto, mirror link, and navigation, a large panoramic sunroof, electric parking brake, fully digital instrument cluster, and the second row of captain seats.
The price of the new Premium SUV MG Gloster would be around 40-45 lakh (Ex-Showroom) and will compete with the segment best Toyota Fortuner and others like Ford Endeavour and Mahindra Alturas.
