COVID-19 has impacted the whole automobile industry. Even all the manufactures had declared zero sales in the month of April 2020. This time is worst for the automobile industry in its history. There is soo many new vehicles are lined up for the launch but delayed. Some of them are launched after May and some are left to happen. But a major issue for the vehicles which are not hit the production line before the lockdown. The Tata Gravitas is one of them and was first planned to happen the launch in July-August and then in September-October but at last, the launch is delayed for the next year 2021.
Apart from this, whenever a new vehicle is about to launch. The marketing and its promotion should be done but sadly, during this situation, this can’t be possible. However, first-time buyers are taking a forward step to buy new cars for them because it helps them to maintain social distancing and keeps them away from the spread of Novel Coronavirus.
When the Tata Gravitas will launch, it will become the most premium and expensive car of Tata’s lineup. The Gravitas will take place at a 7-seater SUV segment where he has to compete with rivals like- Mahindra XUV 500, MG Hector Plus, and Toyota Innova. Apart from these, it’ll also have to compete with Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, Volkswagen T-Roc, and Skoda Kamiq.
The Gravitas will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine named “Kryotech”. This engine is capable to produce 170 PS mated to both 6-Speed manual and 6-Speed torque converter. The Gravitas will carry the feature like- Multiple drive modes, terrain modes, cruise control, automatic wipers and headlamps, climate control, and a big panoramic sunroof.
As of now, the launch date is not revealed but the expectations of the launch are somewhere around the first quarter of 2021. The expected price range would be Rs 18.50-23.00 lakh (Ex-showroom).
