Tata is one of the biggest car manufacturers in India. Now, Tata has unveiled a teaser image of a new upcoming vehicle. Which may be the Tata Blackbird which is going to launch after the success of Nexon and Harrier.
By considering the demand for Compact SUVs and SUVs. Tata is focusing on this segment and they also launched two products on this segment one is Nexon and the second one is Harrier. Both the products are performing well in their respective segments. But there is a gap between these two cars and on this gap, Hyundai’s Creta is ruling the segment alone. So to fill this gap Tata is now preparing to launch a vehicle that fills the gap and gives a neck to neck competition to the Creta.
Tata Blackbird Platform
The new Tata Blackbird could build on the ALFA platform which they already used in the Altroz and Altroz EV. The ALFA platform uses for the cars which are 3.7-4.3 meters long.

What we would get in the Exterior?
Tata Blackbird could get a similar face as its elder sibling Harrier has. headlamp setup below the DRLs along with foglamps put near into it. 16-17 inch Diamond cut alloys wheels might be offered in its top trims. The grille is going to be the same Humanity line grille which we already saw in the Harrier. Roof rails on the top which are useful to carry upto 20 kg of wight. On the rear side, we could get sleek rear tail lamps along with led strip and rear diffuser.
What we would get in the Interior?
We could get some interesting features in the interior of the Blackbird like a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with features like android auto apple car play, mirror link, and navigation. The Blackbird should get rear ac vents along with the control as we saw in the new Creta. A panoramic sunroof is also expected by Tata to be offered in Blackbird because Creta offers it.
Engine and Transmission.
This is not confirmed yet that which engine will offer in Blackbird but Blackbird could get 1.2 ltr turbocharged BS6 compliant petrol engine and a 1.5 ltr BS6 compliant diesel engine mated with a 5-speed transmission for the petrol motor and 6-speed for the diesel motor. The Blackbird could also get a 6-speed automatic transmission as its siblings have.
Tata Blackbird Price and Launch date?
The price of Tata Blackbird is going to be between the Nexon(6.7-11.07 lakhs) and Harrier(13.1-16.87 lakhs). It could offer with a price tag of 9.5-13.0 lakhs (ex-showroom). This new product of Tata will compete with Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki S-cross, Nissan Kicks and Renault Duster.
