The main motive of NCAP is to test the new cars on various parameters and analyze the score and rate the car. There are several NCAPs Like Euro NCAP, Australian NCAP, Japan NCAP, ASEAN NCAP, China NCAP, Korean NCAP, and Latin NCAP. The motive of all NCAPs are same, Which is to rate the cars on the different parameter to prove the credibility and agility of vehicle and also how it performs during a collision. The main initiative of Global NCAP is “#SAFERCARSFORINDIA” and “SAFERCARSFORAFRICA”. After this initiative, we found some safest car in India which got a 5-star rating in Global NCAP.
Here are some different parameters on which NCAP works.
- Front offset crash test
- Side impact
- Side pole test
However, Each NCAP has its own checklists. like the Global NCAP only considers the Front offset crash test and the put result on behalf of this. But there is a key difference between different NCAP’s crash tests. Which is the front tyres speed? According to the Indian government, the front offset crash test is conducted at 56 km/h.
