Pulsar RS 200 & NS 200 is now more expensive.
Bajaj two topmost sports bikes BS6 variants are launched in India. The Pulsar RS 200 & NS 200 are now more costly than its predecessor BS4 variant by some amount. Bajaj is launching its BS6 updated bikes one by one in the Indian market. Recently they launched the Platina H Gear with a new upgraded BS6 engine.
Both the bikes costs more than 1 lakhs and equipped with a 200 cc unit. But the engines are tuned for different power and torque figures. The Pulsar RS 200 produced 23.8 bhp and 18.7 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 RPMs and Pulsar 200 NS produces 23.2 bhp and 18.5 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 RPMs. Both the engines are mated to a 6-Speed upside-down shifter gearbox. The engine and gearbox combination would deliver an average fuel economy of 35 kmpl and 37 kmpl.
These are the only bikes that available with a 200cc engine in the Bajaj lineup. Previously a Pulsar 200 Fi was also offered but it was discontinued on a later stage. The Pulsar RS 200 BS6 was offering price at Rs 1,44,966/- and NS 200 price at Rs 1,25,030/-. But when they go on sale after the lockdown lifts off their prices will be hiked by some percentage. Below is a list of prices hiked after lockdown:-
|Model||Old BS6 Price*||New BS6 Price*||Price Hike|
|Pulsar RS 200||1,44,966/-||1,48,467/-||Rs 3,501/-|
|Pulsar NS 200||1,25,030/-||1,28,531/-||Rs 3,501/-|
As the hiked prices are just Rs 3,501/- that isn’t soo much but in this segment it matters a lot. Where previously it counted in nearly 1.40 lakhs price bracket but now its in the bracket of 1.50 lakhs. There are chances that a drop in sales numbers is expected but it’s not commendable.
