Now Sunroof in Tata Harrier is available from Rs 17.20 lakh: XMS & XMAS.

The new versions are based on the existing XM and XMA trim but the price is obviously increased.

Tata Harrier XMS and XMAS

Tata Harrier XMS and XMAS:

Two trims are tweaked in the Tata Harrier with new features and a price increase. The existing XM and XMA trims are now upgraded with some new features and new names XMS and XMAS. The introductory prices for these trims are set up at Rs 17.20 for the XMS and Rs 18.50 for XMAS. These are introductory prices, which may increase/decrease in the near future.

If we look at the price difference between XM and XMA, then it is near about 1.10 lakh. In that price enhancement, the offered stuff are – a panoramic sunroof, 8-speaker sound system, a touchscreen infotainment unit with android auto, apple car play, and navigation connectivity, a reverse parking camera, rain-sensing wipers, power foldable outside rearview mirrors, and automatic headlights.

The same we get to see in the Tata Nexon as well in 2020, and that variant was a hit for the company. By paying some more money, buyers can experience top trim-level features.

Are there any mechanical changes?

The changes are only limited to features and cosmetics, the mechanical is still intact. The 2.0L, turbocharged diesel unit still powers the Tata Harrier XMS and Tata Harrier XMAS mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic torque converter unit.

In addition, it gets a terrain management system that has three different modes – Normal, Gravel and Rain Mode. Apart from this, the Harrier also gets a separate traction control button and hill descent control.

Tata Future Plans?

Everyone is wanting a petrol engine in the Harrier and Safari, but with a heavy heart, we want to say – there is no planning for Tata to offer a petrol engine in its massive SUVs. Instead of that, they are rapidly working on EV cars. Recently, the upgraded MAX version of the Tata Nexon EV was launched with a better range and technology.

Similarly, to tackle the hatchback EV segment, they are planning to bring the Tata Tiago EV to the market soon. The price expectation for it would be somewhere around 8-12 lakhs.
