The smallest SUV from Skoda to India is going to reveal on the 18th of March this year 2021 with a new look and a new name “Skoda Kushaq”. The will be based on the MQB A0 IN platform, which means a safe and sturdy vehicle. This will come with two petrol motors and two gearboxes might be offered for the market spec variant.

What’s would on the outside?
However, the production unit design is still left to reveal but we have seen a lot of test mule running on the roads across India. We got an idea of the design and also analyze it with the concept which was shown at the 2020 Auto Expo. We can’t give complete design details but we can say that the production unit will be more or less similar to the concept and get some key elements like the front grille. headlamps, and tail lamps inspiration for its elder siblings.
The Skoda Kushaq is based on the MQB A0 IN architecture, and the dimensions will be similar to the other compact SUVs of other brands. However, this will get a bit long wheelbase of 2,617mm which will be more beneficial for the rear passengers.

What would on the inside?
On the cabin, it will offer a dual-tone colour option of black and brown/beige with a mix of chrome and dark plastic elements. A big 12.3 inches touchscreen infotainment system was there in the concept mule that can be carry forwarded to the production-spec. For seating, it will get five seating options with a decent size boot, similar to the rivals.
Apart from this, it will also get an ample amount of safety features that includes- 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, Cruise Control, Traction Control, Speed Sensing Door Lock, Anti-theft alarm, and many more.

Which are engine and Transmission going to offer?
The Skoda Kushaq is going to offer with two petrol motors, one is a 1.0-litre, 3-Cylinder Turbocharged unit which is capable to produce 110 bhp of power and the second one is the 1.5-liter, 4-Cylinder, petrol motor that can produce 150 bhp of maximum power output. Both the motors will be paired up with a 6-Speed manual transmission.
However, the automatic transmission will vary on the variants, where the 1.0-liter unit would get a 6-Speed torque convert and the 1.5-liter a 7-Speed DCT unit or vice-versa.

The Skoda Kushaq will be a compact size SUV and would take place in the 15-20 lakh price bracket. In this price bracket, it will have to have a hand with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, Nissan Kicks, MG Hector & Hector Plus.
