Honda is trying their best to enter in 200cc segment.
A 200cc bike is expected from Honda in the Indian market. Honda has a variety of bikes in the Indian market such as Honda CB Shine, SP 125, Cb Unicorn 160, Livo, X-Blade, CB Hornet 160R, and some others. Nowadays, the 200cc segment is in demand and all the manufacturers are launching their best in the market. So here Honda is also gearing up to enter the segment with their new product Honda CB Hornet 200R.
Some months ago Honda was said that they are working on a bike based on CBF 190, Now it has come to the illumination that the developing product will be the Honda CB Hornet 200R and will get a bigger engine, and upgraded chassis, brakes, and features.
Styling is the one department where we don’t have any idea but we can expect that it would get some design from the CB Hornet 160 and CBF 190R that are already launched. As we can see this in many manufacturers’ lineups where the product takes inspiration, parts, and design language. Some of them are- Bajaj Pulsar 160 NS, TVS Apache 160 4V, and Yamaha FZS 25.
Some of the expected design, electrically and mechanical features would be a Digital instrument cluster, LED headlight, Normal shock absorber on the front and rear, ABS, PGM-Fi technology, and HET. The design might be a combination of CB Hornet 160 and CBF 190R but in a different avatar.
The might be a 199cc, 4-Stroke, Single cylinder engine that can able to produce around 18 PS of power and 17 NM of torque mated a 6-Speed gearbox. Other than that it wouldn’t get any other change so far.
Honda would price the CB Hornet 200R something about Rs 1.00-1.10 lakh (Ex-showroom). This price is quite suitable for the 200c segment. As the other bikes also fit in the same price bracket but if the price would exceed there will be a tough competitor is lying there the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200.
