The Grand Vitara is made in collaboration with Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd alongside the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The platform is of Suzuki’s Global C, which is used in Suzuki’s multiple cars- Vitara Brezza and S-Cross. These cars scored 4 stars on the crash test, so there will be no issue of safety in the upcoming Grand Vitara.
Powering the SUV are two 1.5L engine options, one is Maruti’s K15 series 1.5L, 4-cylinder engine that produces 103 bhp and 137 Nm of peak torque mated to either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic.

According to the information, the delivery will start near the Navratri Season and will go first come first serve way.
What’s the Response From the Market?
As the Grand Vitara is only offered with Mild Hybrid and Strong Hybrid technology with an addition of AWD All-grip powertrain. The expected response seems to be positive and the booking numbers are showing the interest of the buyers. However, the booking numbers for the mild hybrid are more than the strong hybrid but the difference is not more than 25%. Which is surprisingly awesome indeed.
If we talk about the Strong Hybrid Grand Vitara, then there is no competition because this is the only car in the segment with this technology. Whereas the mild hybrid version has competition with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and MG Astor.
