Mahindra India Updated the Mahindra XUV 500 with a BS6 compliant engine. The price starts from 13.20 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the base variant W5 and 17.70 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the top-end W11(O) trim. These prices are Delhi Ex-showroom. The prices got a hike as compare to its BS4 variant by 29,000-32,000 RS. The XUV 500 now only comes with one engine option which is 2.2 ltr diesel Manual transmission.

The Updated BS6 XUV carrier the same 2.2 ltr diesel engine which produces around 155 bhp and 360 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. As the previous BS4 version this updated BS6 is not offering any automatic transmission. But somehow there are chances that it might be offered in the future. The Mahindra XUV 500 also comes with an AWD (All-wheel drive option) in its top trim W11 (O).
Besides the Mechanical changes, there are no changes in any features, design, and interior. It comes with all the features like Projector headlamps with LED DRLs, Cruise control, ABS, EBD, ESC, Hill Hold, Push start-stop button, Keyless entry, Automatic climate control, seatbelt reminder, and high-speed alert system, auto-sensing dor lock, 18inch alloys wheels, leatherette upholstery, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple Carplay and Navigation. The driver seat is power-adjustable, one-touch sunroof is also available in the two top trim W( and W11 (O).
Mahindra XUV 500 BS6 rivals?
Mahindra XUV 500 directly competes with the compacts SUVs like Tata Harrier (Rs. 13.69-18.95 lakh) and MG Hector (Rs. 13.88-17.73 lakhs). Tata Harrier and MG Hector is new products in these segments but grabbing a lot of attention and scoring a high number of sales per month but there are some advantages of every rival like Harrier has the toughest build quality, Landrover DNA and plenty of features, On the other side MG Hector have advance technology features and a powerful engine. But XUV 500 has an AWD drive option and a proper SUV feels which both of these are not offers.
