Hyundai is evaluating the launch of the right-hand drive Hyundai Palisade in India. The Palisade is the flagship and most luxurious SUV of the Hyundai lineup. Primarily Hyundai focused on the left-hand drive market that loves full-size luxury SUVs. As an exception, Hyundai is also evaluating to launch the right-hand drive version on respective countries. India is one of them and Australia is also in the queue. However, India is not a focused market for Hyundai to launch its premium luxurious SUV. But they are waiting for a chance by considering that Indians love big size SUVs.

Hyundai is thinking a lot about the launch. If they import the Palaside then import duties will cost a hefty amount. As a result price of Palisade goes higher. Which becomes an advantage for the rivals.

And, If they plan to assemble it locally then they want certain bookings and demand to start the local assembly. If Indian buyers show interest in Palisade then the chances of Hyundai Palisade launch go higher.

Currently, Palisade equipped with a 3.8 ltr V6 petrol engine. Which churns out a power delivery of 295 bhp and 355 Nm of peak torque. If this would launch in India then it is expected that a 2.2 ltr unit is going to offer. The current Palisade comes with an 8-Speed automatic and 4×4 is standard in the global market. It comes with both 7 & 8 seater options and captain seats are also offered as an optional feature.

Palisade Launch & Expected Price.

If Hyundai Palisade launches in India then It would be the priciest SUV of Hyundai lineup in India. It is expected that at the time of launch it would be priced at Rs 40.00 lakhs (ex-showroom).
