The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Asta CNG will add over to the Magna CNG and Sportz CNG trim.
The CNG has quickly picked up the pace in the Indian market, and it has been a decade of CNG cars running on the roads. All of the manufacturers are building their CNG compliant vehicles such as Tata and Maruti Suzuki. Hyundai is offering a CNG variant in its Grand i10 Nios and Aura, and recently they launched a new variant for the addition of Grand i10 Nios CNG. The new variant stands above the current selling Grand i10 Nios Magna CNG and Sportz CNG, named Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Asta CNG.
With the launch of this variant, buyers can enjoy the taste of top model features in the CNG fueling i10. The Asta variant will be priced at Rs 8.45 lakh, with a difference of Rs 92,000 from the Sportz CNG variant. Other than Asta, the Magna and Sportz models have priced at Rs 7.16 lakh and Rs 7.70 lakh, ex-showroom respectively.
There will be no changes in the Asta CNG variant, similar to the gasoline-fueled Grand i10, this will also be powered with all the features such as – projector headlamps and fog lamps, diamond cut alloy wheels with a 15-inch diameter, chrome garnished door handles, rear chrome garnish, rear window wiper, and washer.
On the inside, the Hyundai Grand i10 Asta CNG has leather-wrapped steering wheels, leatherette upholstery, adjustable rear seat headrest, a smart key, push-button start, a front power outlet, wireless charging, and a cooled glove box. This is not the end of the list, it also features – an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with apple car play, an android auto with navigation, a 5.3- inch multi-information display in the middle of the instrument console, automatic climate control, Arkamys sound system, and voice recognization.
The engine department considers a 1.2L, Naturally Aspirated Petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and automatic transmission. This engine churns out 68 bhp of power and 95.2 Nm of peak torque in the CNG mode and 82 bhp and 114 Nm while running on petrol.
If we consider the CNG tank capacity of 60 liters, the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Asta CNG can go up to 280 km and the average per kg of CNG is 28 kmpl.
