Ford Figo has been a great performance car since it was launched in India. Ford has tuned it to deliver great punch yet comfortability. Despite being soo cool and punchy. It has never been highlighted in the monthly top-selling numbers. However, this never affected Ford to stop giving them updates, and now they are planning to give Ford Figo an automatic torque converter gearbox to fulfill the requirements of buyers. All preparations and other stuff have done and the launch is expected to take place at the end of August 2020.
The Ford Figo is powered by a 1.2-liter 1194cc dragon series engine that produces around 96 BHP at 6500 RPM. This engine has a great mid-range punch that can easily tackle any kind of city and highway overtakes. However, the low end has some sort of lack and does feel saggy and the engine takes a bit of time to respond.
The new Torque Converter Automatic gearbox will play a great role in the low end by applying multiple torques. This will help the Figo by giving an initial response. This TC gearbox is the same which we get in the Ecosport. So there are some chances that it would also get the paddle shifter that will add some value to the keen drivers.
Apart from this, the design of Figo is quite subtle, at the front it got a small grille with chrome finish along with big halogen headlamps and round shaped fog lamps. The side profile is clean and some minor stickering has been done along with 15 inches blacked-out alloy wheels. There is not much to talk out at the rear, this will remain the same clean yet classy.
Apart form that, there aren’t any changes we get in the interior. It will remain the same in look as well as in the features. Only one change we will get is the automatic gear lever. Which we can use back n forth by pressing the brakes.
The Ford Figo Automatic is likely to priced somewhere between Rs 8.00-8.23 lakh (ex-showroom) and will compete with rivals like- Hyundai i10 Nios, Maruti Suzuki Swift, and Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
