The small hatchback from Citroen has taken its debut in the Indian market. The product name is the “Citroen C3” and it will be offered in two trims and seven variants options. The trims are named Live and Feel, and the price bracket is set up at Rs 5.71 for the base variant and Rs 8.05 lakh, ex-showroom for the range-topping Turbo Dual Tone Vibe Black. The C3 hatchback is the second product from the manufacturer after the C5 Aircross, which is about to get a new facelift. The Citroen C3 is a hatchback car and will compete with – Tata Punch, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Nissan Magnite, Nissan Kiger, and Maruti Suzuki Swift.

Exterior and Interior

The C3 is a small hatchback car and follows the same Citroen design language that includes – the signature front facia chrome lines and the Citroen logo embedded into it. The headlights are placed alongside the two DRLs and the fog lamps housing the fitted lower to the bumper are surrounded by theme colour ascents. More, the x shape faux scuff plate is finished in silver and the air dams are designed in an octagonal shape.

The side features alloy wheels set with a 15-inch diameter and round wheel arches, body cladding on the lower part of the body with some colour insertions (only on the Feel trim). The side ORVMs and the roof comes finished in the theme colour in dual tone colour options, whereas, the roof rails are themed to enhance the looks but are not functional though.

The rear end is sophisticated and clean fitted with square shape tail lights, the Citroen logo in the middle, and C3 on the right side.

The same colourful theme we got to see in the interior also, the dashboard is finished in the contrast colour of the theme such as- Anodised Grey and Anodised Orange only. The same colour is also used in the stitching of the seats. The talking and focus point of the cabin is a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto.

Engine and Transmission

The Citroen C3 hatchback is offered with a 1.2L engine with a Naturally Aspirated and Turbocharged state of tune. The 1.2L, 3-Cylinder Naturally Aspirated engine produces 82 PS at 5,750rpm and 115 Nm of peak torque at 3,750rpm. This engine comes mated to a 5-Speed manual transmission, while the 1.2L, 3-Cylinder, Turbocharged Petrol engine produces 110 PS at 5,500rpm and 190 Nm torque at 1,750rpm comes mated to a 5-Speed manual transmission. No automatic options are provided here, which was expected. There are chances of AT coming in the future.

Citroen C3 Mileage, Fuel Tank Capcity and Range

The hatchback Citroen C3 has a full tank capacity of 30 liters, and the Citroen C3 mileage figures commented by the manufacturer are 19.8 kmpl for the 1.2L, Naturally Aspirated Motor and 19.4 kmpl for the turbocharged.
