The entry-level motorbikes from BMW are going to launch in their BS6 avatars

The BMW G 310R G 310GS are entry-level products of German-based manufacturer, their BS6-Compliant version booking is now under commencement and can be booked with a token amount of Rs 50,000. The booking amount is a bit on the higher side in comparison to their price. However, BMW was trying had to reduce the cost of the BMW G 310R G 310GS by Rs 30,000 to make it a much affordable. The prices are not revealed yet but they will be announced once after the launch in India.

The launch of these motorbikes is quite close and can be launched in an upcoming couple of months (i.e sept-oct). The bikes are styled with LED headlight and LED turn indicators, redesigned tank extension to give a muscular appeal. Apart from this, remaining will be the same as the BS4 variant.

One mechanical feature that can be highlighted is the Ride-By-Wire throttle, that adds comfort to the rider in high revs. However, the riding features that we are getting in the TVS Apache RR 310 are not given here. It was expected from BMW but not offered in the BMW G 310R G 310GS.

Other than that, the engine is now compliant to BS6 norms and the refinement and overall vibration are lowered down. The BS6 up-gradation would be helpful to generate more mileage from the motor. The BMW G 310R produces around 34 PS of power while the G 310GS produces around 33.8 PS of maximum power. Both the motors are mated to a 6-Speed gearbox.
