The Italian bike manufacturer Benelli is planning to launch its updated Benelli Imperiale 400 with a new BS6 engine. But due to the lockdown situation in India, The launch is postponed and there are chances that this launch happens after the lockdown finishes.
However, the price of this updated Model is hiked by 40,000 (priced at 2.20 lakhs) from its BS4 model. The price difference is quite a lot. Considering that there are no major changes except an updated engine and decals. That not justifies the price hike.
The design language of Imperiale 400 is typical retro and the riding posture too. It got a spoked wheel along with chrome mudguards and the Fuel tank has knee pads to offers proper support to the rider. It gets a saddle seat, which you can easily split. However, it missed out on a LED headlamp setup even on its updated avatar.
The Imperiale 400 powered by a 375cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine mated to a 5-Speed transmission. which produces around 20.7 bhp and 29 Nm of torque. The power and torque delivery are a little bit high than its main competitor Royal Enfield Bullet 350. Which produces a power of 19.1 bhp and 28 Nm of torque.
The 375cc oil-cooled engine expected to deliver a mileage of around 35 kmph in a normal driving condition. This will be somewhat similar to the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 offers. This bike will weigh around 200 Kgs and this is the best mileage that a bike can offer by having a 375cc engine and weighs 200 kg.
Benelli Imperiale 400 competes with Royal Enfield Bullet classic 350.
This Bike gives a direct competition to the Royal Enfield Bullet Classic 350 but there are chances that the Bullet classic 500 is also in the race because of the price tag. Similar to Jawa’s new bike the Jawa twins might be in this classic retro battle.
