Bajaj Platina H Gear BS6 overview.

Bajaj motors launched the Bajaj Platina H gear BS6 upgraded version in the Indian market. It carries the same design and styling, but it got some cosmetic and mechanical updates. The Bajaj Platina is a budget commuter bike and offers excellent mileage and comfort. Its upgraded suspension setup offers superior absorbing power and makes the ride comfy.

It was launched in 2006 and since that time it doesn’t any identical change except some styling updates and, a 110 cc DTSI engine added in the lineup on a later stage.


It carries the same design language but does carry some cosmetic changes. The headlamp is the same along with an eyebrow type LED strip. A new graphics are also introduced in Red & Blue colour along with a 3D logo same as the pulsar lineup. The seat got a ribber treatment and also it is more comfortable. It also got new alloy wheels design along with a front disc plate.

Features and Instrument cluster

In this 2020 updated Bajaj Platina H gear got a new digital-analogue instrument cluster on offer. In the digital side of cluster speedometer, trim A&B, Gear indicator, Odometer, fuel gauge, and clock in place, and on the analogue side, only analogue speedometer needle is setup.


It equipped with the same 115 cc four-stroke single-cylinder petrol engine that churns out a power delivery of 8.5 bhp and 9.81 Nm of peak torque mated to a new 5-Speed gearbox. The BS6 engine is now more refined and offers great punch at low and mid-level. By upgrading the suspension setup, the ride became more comfortable and don’t take stress on potholes and bumpy roads. This 115 cc engine combined with a 5-Speed gearbox offers a good cruising experience at 80 km/h and delivers an average fuel economy of 74km/l. It has a fuel carrying capacity of 11L.


Bajaj Platina H Gear BS6 is an entry-level motorcycle price at Rs 59,802/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). It has been a great success for the company from the beginning from the launch and now they offered new updated H gear. Which means one more extra gear. Which is useful for highway drives and after the addition of a disc plate at the front, the braking ability is also increased. The Platina is a good bike and offers great features and performance at this price point.
