With no launch event and celebration, Bajaj has launched its new product CT 125x in the Indian market. It’s the most affordable 125cc bike in the market as of now and will compete with Honda Shine 125 and Hero Super Splendor. In contrast to the Bajaj CT 110, the CT 125x is costly by 5,000 but cheaper than other competitors by approx 6-7 grand.

The overall design of the CT 125x is kept to a retro side and offered in three different colour options – Ebony Black with Red Decals, Ebony Black with Green Decals, and Ebony Black with Blue Decals. The retro touches can be seen on the headlight, front suspension, seat, and pillion roof hand grille. The front carries a round-shaped headlight with some DRL, some rubber on the tank pad, covering on the led guard, and engine protection.

In terms of engine, it uses a 124cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke petrol engine that produces around 10.9 PS of maximum power and 11 Nm of peak torque. It all comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine is smooth and punchy, no such noise and vibrations come out of it. However, on the high revs, the engine does become vocal and vibrated.

The speed mentioned in the instrument console is up to 140 kmph but it can reach up to 105-110 kmph, and the best suitable range for best performance and fuel economy is 50-60 kmph. The gears are smooth and easy to upshift/downshift and the variant is down for upshift and up for downshift.

More mechanical includes- a telescopic suspension at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear, front disc and rear drum brakes (240mm front disc limited to top trim only, lower gets drum), the CT 125x runs a set of 17-inch alloy wheels are the tyre size is 100/90-17 (a tubeless unit).

The features list begins with an analog instrument cluster, a USB charging port, LED DRL, and self-start. The dimension of the bike is 700 mm and 810 in length and height, while the wheelbase is 1285mm.
