The launch of performance-centric commuter Aprilia SXR 160 is got delayed to November this year obviously due to the ongoing pandemic crisis in India. At first, the scooter was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo held in Delhi. The SXR 160 model of Aprilia’s lineup is designed and developed in Italy itself and is offered with 160cc, Single Cylinder Petrol Motor.
The Piaggio Group has confirmed that two daily commuter scooters named Aprilia SXR 160 will launch in the month of November. Apart from the 160 SXR, the Aprilia SXR 125 will also launch just after the SXR 160.
The design of this scooter is quite a maxi-scooter type with a long footboard and a large seat for better comfort for both the person. The design language is somehow identical to the SRV 850 which was once on sale in India. Also, the SXR 260 has a quite bike looking front with dual headlight and bright undereye LED DRLs along with a big windshield for better wind cutting.
There is not much to talk about the features and other stuff but such includes- Multifunctional Digital Instrumental Cluster with smartphone connectivity and a vast list of accessories.
The scooter will be powered by a 160cc, Single Cylinder, Petrol Motor that would generate around 11.1 PS of maximum power and 11.6 Nm of peak torque. The engine is tuned to deliver performance and the set of 12 inches alloy wheels give the rider a great pleasure of riding. However, we don’t have much information about the mechanical but a new addition of suspension would give a better comfort in comparison to the SR range.
