The changes on the 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift are cosmetic and no alterations are done to the mechanicals.
The bumper success for the Chinese manufacturer Kia, Seltos emerged into its facelift version, and the car was captured somewhere in South Korea. The cars seem mainly unchanged but the facelift carries the changes in some parts of the body.
Its been 3 years since the Seltos launched in the Indian market in 2019, and now the time to bring the facelift of the car is awaiting desperately. Before coming to the Indian market the facelift of Seltos is captured in South Korea by an Instagram profile by bpd_calmfrog.
The Kia Seltos is a compact SUV and competes with Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun. After the launch of Toyota Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Vitara, the segment becomes tougher to compete with. However, Seltos has created his own fan base since its launch but now the round is becoming tough. While the rear section has Kia Carens-inspired rear LED tail lighting, on which a red strap covers the entire boot lit and the Kia logo is placed onto it.
The changes on the Kia Seltos Facelift start with the front facia, where headlights a sneak peek revised DRLs, chrome garnish on the grille, and brushed aluminum diffuser at the bottom. The changes on the sides are only limited to the new set of alloy wheels, they are 18-inches in diameter and are machine cut with unique design. The rear section has Kia Carens-inspired tail light setup, the red strap covers the entire tailgate and the Kia logo is written onto it.
The cabin of the Kia Seltos facelift is mainly unchanged and all the nick and nacks are carried forwarded. The interior features a large touchscreen infotainment display, digital driver instrument console, automatic climate control, cruise control, auto headlamps, auto rain sensing wipers, and leather upholstery with the leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The thing we can notice on this global facelift is the dial for the gear selection and electronic parking brake. These features are currently not present in the outgoing version, but if Kia can get these then they will be a great addition to the package. However, the price will increase with this addition but it will be worth it.
There will be no change in the engine, gearbox, and powertrains, the outgoing 1.5L petrol, and diesel motor produce 113 bhp, 144 Nm, and 113 bhp, 250 Nm respectively. While the gearbox options are 6-Speed MT, 6-Speed IVT, and a CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission). The powerful 1.4L Turbo Petrol motor produces 138 bhp and 242 Nm of peak torque mated to 6-Speed MT, 6-Speed IVT, and a 7-Speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission).
The pricing difference or other details about the 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift will be revealed once it is launched in the Indian market next year.
