Yamaha MT-10 Overview

Sharp and muscular body shape, extensive details, and nimble colour options make it a great motorcycle. The MT-10 is one of the sharp and aggressive-looking bikes in the segment. It features a futuristic design from facia that somehow looks like Bumblebee. The dual eye shape projector headlamps are equipped with white LEDs and the DRLs are white in illuminations too.

The big chunky radiator grille is placed just below the muscular fuel tank and the tapered handlebars are wide and positioned at a height. With this, the rider can get a great rider posture. Being a liter-class bike, it has four outlet pipes that later become one and offers a decent exhaust note. The footpegs are aluminum finish, while the engine is of black colour.

The overall shape is muscular, yet sporty. The naked motorcycle stance of this beast is fantabulous and does stand out from the crowd.

Pros and Cons

  • Powerful inline 4 engine
  • Quick Shifter
  • KYB Suspensios
  • Advanced Riding Aids
  • Traction Control
  • Less Fuel Economy
  • Not prefferable for newbies

  • Kawasaki Z1000
  • Suzuki GSX-S1000
  • BMW S1000R

These are the major competitors of the Yamaha MT-10 and all have an inline 4-cylinder engine. Here the BMW S1000R is the fastest machine and the costliest one too. While in terms of design, the MT-10 leads at number one and the second is the Kawaski Z1000. For value for money, the Kawasaki Z1000 is the best choice but for the allrounder, the Yamaha MT-10 is the only one to go for.

There are very few liter-class naked sports bikes on the market and the Yamaha MT-10 is one of the masterpieces. It has a quick throttle response with a punchy grunt from the motor. The 998cc engine is derived from the world-famous Yamaha YZF-R1. While the 6-Speed gearbox is smooth in operation with a slipper clutch.

The design is quite unique and muscular from every end. The handlebars are upraised and comfy to hold on to. The seat is split for the rider and pillion with comfy filling. In terms of safety, it is packed with traction control and a dual-channel Anti-Locking Braking System.

Overall, it’s a great lightweight super naked bike with premium underpinnings. It would be a great buy if Yamaha asap launch this in India.
