Toyota Venza Overview
Toyota Kirloskar Motors has a variety of vehicles in its lineups such as hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs, and Crossovers. Toyota is vastly adapting the hybrid technology in its cars and making them future-ready. The Venza is also a hybrid product for Japanese manufacturers. The 2.5L Petrol engine is paired to a hybrid electric motor that gives the car more punch at 219 bhp.
What is the Toyota Venza Price in India?
The Toyota Venza is available in three trims and the price in the US market starts from $33,240 for the base LE trim and $40,730 for the range-topping Limited Variant. While the mid-variant XLE is priced at $36,775. The Venza as of now is not available in the Indian market but we could assume the launch of this crossover in the near future. After the launch, the Toyota Venza Price in India would be Rs 26.25-32.17 lakh, ex-showroom. The prices are direct conversion from Dollars into Rupees with the current currency exchange rate.
Variants | US Price | India Price |
---|---|---|
LE | $33,240 | Rs 26.25 |
XLE | $36,775 | Rs 29.05 |
Limited | $40,730 | Rs 32.17 |
The price of the Venza can be increased on decreased as per the launch. If the car will launch as a CBU (Complete Built Unit) then the price will be set up on a higher side, because India has a high import duty on the outside built vehicle.
On the other side, if Toyota brings it as CKD (Complete Knockdown Unit), then also the price increases to a certain extent and makes the Toyota Venza not “Value For the Money”.

When will the Toyota Venza Launch in India?
Toyota is vastly increasing its product range in the Indian market. After the discontinuation of the Ford Endeavour and whipping up their business, the Toyota Fortuner become more popular in the market. Recently, they have introduced the new mid-size SUV Hyryder based on the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Vitara platform and underpinnings.
This indicates the launch of Venza in India. We’re expecting it to launch at the end of 2023 or mid of 2024 and it’ll compete with the Jeep Compass and Hyundai Santafe.

Design and Exterior
The Venza is a sophisticated designed mid-size SUV, there are smooth and curvey edges with sleek LED headlights and taillights. The front grille has prostrate slats in a blacked-out finish with a chrome garnish at the lower section, while the top part has blue illumination Toyota logo and a chrome line joints the headlights smoothly. The design language somehow seems relevant to the Toyota RAV4 & RAV4 Hybrid but it’s a more classy and city-like car.
The sides have machine-cut 19-inch alloy wheels with a silver-brownish finish and the tire section is 225/55 R19. The lower section on the entire car has body cladding that enhances its appearance. The roofline is bedding at the rear with a window line chrome garnish and the ORVMs have black inserts.
The rear has an integrated top spoiler with a stop light, wiper, defogger, Chrome garnish near to reflectors and a red strip joints the taillights.
Interior and Features
The interior is well put together and there are two themes available – a Boulder Fabric and a Black Fabric. The boulder fabric has a light theme with a mixture of black and grey inserts, while the black fabric is a completely black theme with a few chrome inserts around the a/c vents, buttons, knobs, and the Toyota logo.
For entertainment purposes, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display is fitted with a great JBL sound system, which sounds mind-bogglingly awesome. Convenience is also taken care of with a Handsfree Power Tailgate, Wireless Charging, USB Power Sockets, a big Panoramic Sunroof, Digital Rear View Mirror with Homelink, MID, and Headsup Display.
To create a great aura inside the interior, ambient lights are there to match the mood accordingly, while the premium seats with Heated and Ventilated Seats make the ride enjoyable for up to 5 people. The rear seats can accommodate up to 3 people but two will be more enjoyable for the long rides.
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
A 2.5L, Petrol+Hybrid motor powers the Toyota Venza and gives a very smooth operating experience. This engine is quite powerful and delivers power at 219 bhp and 224 Nm of torque mated to an ECVT (Electronically Continuous Variable Transmission). The gearbox is smooth, upshifts at the sweet spot, and becomes a bit noisy on the high revs, but it never bothers the driving pleasure.
Without combining the electric motor power, the gasoline motor produces 176 bhp which is evident too, but who counts this when we have the hybrid system? In the Toyota Venza, there is a special button that makes the car fully run on the batteries themselves. The Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel-Drive is not a fully AWD system, instead, it supplies power to the rear wheels when there is a need for it.
The aerodynamic body of the Venza didn’t feel as sturdy and comfortable as the RAV4, and the punch from the motor in a 0-60mph/0-100kmph run at 7.6-7.8 seconds that is mediocre and not surprising.
Mileage, Range, and Fuel Tank Capacity
The Toyota Venza mileage is around 16-18 kmpl in the city and highway accordingly. With a 55 Liters tank, the Venza gets a range of 880-990 kms depending on the driving conditions. The fuel efficiency is really commendable, if we take the same segment gasoline SUVs, it more by 5-6 kmpl. This much difference is remarkable and can change the buying decision too.
Safety and Driving Assitance Features
The Toyota Venza has a pack of Safety Sense that includes – a Pre Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Automatic Highbeams, and Road Sign Assist.

Wrapping Up
The Toyota Venza is a mid-size SUV with sleek and soft looks and the front has sharp cut LED headlight. The outer shell has a few chrome accents in the front and rear bumper, while the lower body has blacked-out body cladding. The outer has 6 paint schemes and the inner has two upholstery options. The front row seats are heated and ventilated function, the interior has a premium feel and the big panoramic sunroof makes it airy and advanced design.
Venza’s powered by the 2.5L, Petrol+Hybrid motor that makes 219 bhp and 242 Nm mated to an ECVT transmission, same we get to see in the Lexus ES300h too. The transmission has smooth gear shifting, the highway performance is effortless, and overtaking is a piece of cake. However, the driving dynamics are not appreciable but not worst either. On the highway, it sometimes feels uncomfortable while taking sharp turns or instant overtaking.
The future of Toyota Venza will be more dependent on the price bracket in which it will launch. Kia is also planning of launching their SUV Telluride in the Indian market which could become the competitor of Toyota Venza.
