Mahindra and Mahindra recently launched their new product, New Mahindra Scorpio N and it become a hit on its launch day itself. A lot of people are waiting to test drive and book the car, the bookings are started with a “Add to Cart” feature on Mahindra’s website. The introductory price of New-Gen Mahindra Scorpio is set up at Rs 11.99 lakhs for the first 25,000 bookings only, later it’ll be revised.

Today we get to know one story of the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N Accident with a Maruti Suzuki Dzire from West Bengal.
The accident of the Mahindra Scorpio N Automatic happened somewhere in Kolkata when some people are taking a test drive of the automatic version of the SUV. On their way, a red light signal came, and mistakenly, the driver hit the accelerator padel instead of the brake. Resulted, the New Scorpio got hit at the rear of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
As reported, the speed of the SUV was not high, that is why the damage was not intense and no one is injured. However, the damage on the Dzire, in comparison to the Scorpio is more noticeable but the Scorpio absorbed the damage completely and some plastic and lighting setup go damaged. The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio is no doubt a great car, has a ton of safety features and the build quality for the SUV is also supposed to be good, according to the sheet quality. Some of the safety features include – ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), Brake Assist, Traction Control, SRS Airbags, Engine Immobilizer, Hill Start Assist, and a 360-degree camera with parking sensors.
In terms of power and performance, the 2022 Scorpio is powered by two tuned diesel engines and one petrol motor. The diesel engine is a single 2.2L unit but tuned in two different settings. The less powered 2.2L engine produces 132 bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque, while the more powered tuned same engine produces 175 bhp and 370/400 Nm of peak torque in MT/AT gearbox options.
The less powered 2.2L engine is only available in the Z2 and Z4, whereas the 175 bhp motor powers the Z2, Z6, Z8, Z10, and Z10 Luxury. The 4WD powertrain starts from variant Z4 and the automatic 4WD is only limited to diesel automatic versions.
The damages to the new Mahindra Scorpio will be taken care of by the showroom itself and the Insurance company will pay for the damage. As all the test drive cars have comprehensive insurance with zero depth coverage.
