Kia Sonet Compact SUV, the third product from Kia motors has been launched in the Indian market. The price structure of Kia Sonet along through the variants is Rs 6.71-11.99 lakh (Ex-showroom). Similar to the Seltos, it is also offered in two trims lines- the HT line with five trims and the GT line with one range-topping trim. Apart from the trims and variants, Kia Sonet offered with three engine options and five gearboxes to choose from.

Kia Sonet Compact SUV: Engines and gearbox explained

The Sonet is offered in both diesel and petrol motors. For petrol it has two engine options, one is a 1.2-liter, 83 bhp naturally aspirated engine mated to a 5-Speed manual gearbox, and the second is 1.0-litre, 120 bhp, turbo petrol engine mated to either a 6-Speed IMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) or 7-Speed DCT automatic gearbox.

For diesel, it has a 1.5-liter, 100 bhp turbo diesel engine mated to a 6-Speed manual and a 115 bhp version mated to a 6-Speed Torque Converter Automatic gearbox.
